Pretty much any distro would run there. You'll get better suggestions if you tell us what your expectations are and how much Linux knowledge and time to learn you have.

Expectations & Time

I am looking for a distro that will support all the hardware functionallity (DVD-RW w/Lightscribe, Media Playback Controls, WIFI connection (wireless network), Bluetooth, Memory Card RW and IR Remote Control).

I have some Linux experience with a 5 year old version of Debian that I had running on my former system. I have yet to try Linux on my HP laptop.

I have about 10 hours a week for learning more about the Linux OS.

I have Dreamlinux 3.5, Which is built on debian. It comes with Totem player (for CDs/DVDs) rhythmbox (music organization) brasero (for burning) ... Ya know all the media stuff you could need (Including photo viewing/editing), as well as blue tooth, and wicd (wireless network) ... The only issue I seem to have (and have read of others having) is the ''MMC:0'' error, In short it doesn't support my SD card reader. Other then that it picked up all my hardware, it is fairly simple to use, built on Debian so the availability of packages is good.

What I think it's gonna really break down to though is:

1) What you want the Distro to come packed with.
2) What level of skill you are comfortable with jumping into.
3) Which one looks good. (Heck may as well try a few, They're free right?)

Cause in the end, it's a matter of preference.

If you would like to look at Dreamlinux you can do that HERE.
