Question What version of glibc is installed? RH Enterprise Linux ES Release 4 (Nathant Up3)

I'm trying to figure out how I know what version of glibc is installed on my computer. In addition what information is available on the newest or next release of RH will be as far as glibc versions.

# uname -a # reports
linux primarylx 2.6.9-34.ELsmp Fri Feb 24 EST 2006 i686

Does this mean glibc 2.6.9-34?

Thanks

Dan

That's the kernel version. Try

rpm -qa |grep -i libc
