Question What OS is Centos 5 mirrored off

If Centos 5 is supposed to be like Red Hat Enterprise then that would help me with me pending project.

Anyone used Centos 5 before... is it really like Red Hat?

Since Linux and it's supporting software are Open Source, people are able to download the source, and build and use the software. That's how Centos is made. It is built from the source-code of Red Hat with the same version number. It is claimed to be 99.999% binary-compatible with Red Hat.

It is RedHat Enterprise 5. I use it at home because we have RedHat Enterprise at work. The two are the same, with only the graphics differing. Functionally they are identical.
