What is the best option to use in CF???

Hello,

I have a Compact Flash and I am interesting in install it Linux.
But, I have some doubts:
1.- Is it ext2 the correct option to use in a cmpact flash??? ext2 is not journalist like ext3.
2.- LILO or GRUB??? In this point I have not idea what is the bes option. Perhaps lilo is more easy than grub or vicervesa, I do not know.

Best regards.

What are you using the CF card for? Normally, these things are just formatted FAT16 or FAT32.

How is a bootloader (GRUB or LILO) relevant? Are you planning on having an operating system on the CF?

Usually you would put a live and small distribution like Puppy or DSL on CF for purpose of taking with you wherever you move. And in those cases it would format the CF as FAT32 and use syslinux to boot from it.

This CF is for a embedded system with a little linux.
Partition is ext2 without swap.
My big problem is to install lilo or grub but with your answers is enought for me to decide which kind of partition I need.
