Post What is the best linux proxy server


Hello
I'm new to this forum and i 'm looking for some help to complete a task. can someone advise the best proxy server to use on corporate network. a free version. I have try Endian but it work for a while then i got a problem with ASP.net sites that need loging in. So i had to revert to old squid on an old REDHAT.
I'm loking for someting that has GUI interface and control user bandwith, see logs and has url filter.

The old squid that you say 'old' is gold for me.
Whatever you need can be nicely done using squid. You can get the latest stable release of squid and configure it according to your need. I am running it and never had problems with asp sites as well.
If you need a graphical interface, I will suggest you try webmin. Other graphical interfaces that you can usr are proxymin and squid manager.

Or build in your firewall and proxy with IPCop and Squid. But as mentioned already, squid is very capable.

thanks guys. i think i'll try what linuxlover.chaitanya says and use the proxymin.
