what is suid, sgid, sticky and why we use it ...?
 
what is suid , sgid and sticky bit ....and what are the main function
why these are used ?
i am totally confused .. please any one help me ......

SUID is used to allow multiple user access/ownership of a file -chmod 4700

SGID is used to allow multiple group access/ownership to a directory -chmod 2770
