What is noatun and where the hell is it?
 

Stupid question. What is noatun (I suppose that it is a media player) and where is it? I looked in Install and Remove Software and found only plug-ins for it. Ok, I found a webpage http://noatun.kde.org/, but there is no download there.

Please can you put down the distro that you are using, it makes it easier for people to help you. noatun is a media player that comes with KDE, depending on your distro it may or may not be installed by default.

I am not sure why you are looking, but try this:

Open a shell (command line) and type "noatun" without the quotes, and hit enter. If you have it it might start.

You can also do "man noatun" to read the manual. Also try " whereis noatun", and it will tell you where the executable is.

sorry, it is SuSE 9.2.

it looks like it is not installed... but where can i d/l it....

It should be in some kdemultimedia package on your Suse CD.

usually if I need something and it is present on CDs, I open Install & Remove Software and search the package. In case of noatun I can find only plugins for noatun and Xine plugin for noatun. Whare is noatun itself?
