what is difference between "reset" and "clean " commands?


Hi ALL...


is there any theriotical and functional difference between "clear and reset " commands?
any help /suggestions/comments would be appreciated...

"clear" simply clears the screen
"reset" actually resets your terminal...

Execute this to see what I mean:
Code:
cat /bin/bash
After this, your terminal windows will be all messed up. 'clear' will then simply clear it, while 'reset' will fix the problem.
