I am preparing to get a website to use linux hosting
I was told that the source code of my website is what shows up when I go to the View>PageSource of my Firefox browser. I can see the information <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC
Where and what file to look into to find that information in my Windows website files?
This website will be for my daughter.
What to use to find it (maybe the notepad that I have)
and where to find it.

The source files are in the folder where you put the website files and the source files are the files that have the extension .html, or .css. If you open those files in a text editor(such as notepad) then you can see the source code that you see when you go view source in firefox

I think that the best program to use to do what you want is bluefish. Your distribution probably can install bluefish for you. If not you can download bluefish here:
