What do you think about GNOME 3?
 

Hello all,

I was wondering if you could share you opinion with me about GNOME 3? I am great user of Fedora and Ubuntu. Recently I upgraded to Fedora 15 and Ubuntu 11. At first Gnome3 seemed to be very good and cool but soon after I found many many problems and inconveniences...like stetting up a network printer in Fedora 15...seems to be mission impossible. Did you have similar or any issues?

Ubuntu 11.04 doesnt use gnome3, its using 'unity' (which should be called 'disunity' IMO).

At first I wasn't keen on the new Gnome but since I've started making more use of shortcuts I've found that it's pretty good. Fedora (Gnome3) is on my laptop and I'm using Ubuntu (Unity) in the lounge. I'm sure that over the next 12 months both will see improvements in their functionality.

I've not setup network printer on Fedora so can't comment.

Just so we are all on the same page ... unity is NOT gnome3
