You can open it with another program but not run directly it

v.g: take an .mp3 or .jpg file and give it executable privileges; you'll receive the same answer
That certainly makes me feel better.

Any help ???

That's the same thing I looked at. I saw nothing about using it as of yet.

But, who cut your fingers? You can't search in Internet about OpenSPC?

Searching lightly I found:

"OpenSPC is an SNES music player for DOS. The "Lite" version has also been made available for Unix/OSS.

Since I run KDE, and I use many apps and games that use aRts, it's inconvenient to use the OSS driver. So, I have ported OpenSPC Lite to use the aRts C interface to play its sounds."

Here you can find more information

Be happy

Google never showed me that one! Big John's page is the only one of decent relevance I found, but it had nothing of interest. Likewise, yours doesn't tell me what to do with it. I got the file, I need to know what to do with it. I may have to go back into Zophar's Domain and then link to that Sourceforge Japanese site who hosts the file. Maybe I can make sense out of it using Blowfish or something.

After hunting again, I did find another RPM on pbone.net, and the description is exactly what I want. Lemme see what I can do with this one.

If its a binary file, open a terminal and do sh ./[filename] - that will start the installation or whatever it is.

Aha ... want you that I use my poor brain to solve YOURS problems?

It's impossible... I don't have idea about that software, your hardware and your intentionality...

Tried that.

OpenSPC--OpenSPC--cannot execute binaries

This is a simple Linux question. Enough info should be available if you hunt for OpenSPC on Google. I found some. I don't see how it'd affect it, but here goes.

RedHat 9
HP Pavilion 743c--P4 2.4GHz, 512MB Ram
80GB IDE HDD that has failed twice, but continues to work.
a voided warranty, as caused by the hard disk failure--the first time.
Using Gnome by default
WinXP on disk as well, but only used for going online.
I have added a anti-blank command to the /etc/profile--setterm -blank 0
I mostly run as user, but I often su to root, or log in as root.

Made a RPM download, file not found when execute rpm -i rpmname.rpm though ls shows it. I have redownloaded the file.

WHAT THIS SOFTWARE DOES: It plays SPC music taken from SuperNES games (I have) and plays the songs. Sometimes it's an XMMS plugin like the RPM I found on pbone.net. The binary is supposed to be a standalone app. I got it off of Zophar's domain, but he has nothing on it and the download is actually Sourceforge of Japan (and I don't know Japanese). ...or maybe that was a Google as well. Anyway, I got one of them from Zophar's Domain .
