What do the various distro's look like?

Absolutely NEW here. Is there somewhere I can go to get some kind of 'look' at these different set-ups. I see folks talking about Ubuntu, SuSe, Mandrake, etc. but nothing showing how they appear.

Distrowatch, Live CDs, various reviews with screenshots, video tutorials, you name it.

Beauty's only screen-deep. Plus, in EVERY distro you can
install & modify whatever you like. There's no point in
asking what they "look like". My Slackware64 13.1 running
fluxbox will most likely look quite different from anyone
else's. My key-bindings will be different.

Cheers,
Tink

Check out the "Show me your desktop" thread or whatever it is called, and you will see how different people use different desktops setup...

Thanks to all. Since everything I've done has been with Windows, I really have trouble thinking 'outside the box', and have to get something installed to try. Then I'll get it.

Search for "ubuntu screenshot", "fedora screenshot", etc.

But keep in mind you can customize the appearance of any distro. Check out http://gnome-look.org for example.

Not only Distrowatch, but also search engines that search images and of course YouTube.
