What config file contains printer drivers?
Ok let me explain. I have a RHEL 4 server that I have been tasked with installing a list of Lexmark printers using SMB. When I go into system-config-printer and start the set up of the printer all is well until I get to selecting my printer driver. At 1st I didn't see my specific printer driver so I went to the Lexmark site and downloaded the T632 printer driver and ran through the installation steps. When I tried to set the printer up again I surely thought I would see my T632 driver listed in the list but it's not. I'm still fairly new to RHEL 4 and don't know what I am doing wrong. Is there a service that I need to restart or something?

Assume this : print-drivers-linux-glibc2-x86.rpm
There is a setup tool : /usr/local/lexmark/setup.lexprint To get a filelist from an rpm package: 'rpm -qpl <package.rpm>' or 'less <package.rpm>' (Another thing : T632 is a postscript printer, should print with no driver, + a ppd file) |
