What are those funny hatch-marks in my Ubuntu top panel?
I'd have liked my first question to show some degree of sophistication and aplomb, but most things that puzzle me I've found answers to on this or other forums.
So - here's a dumb question.
What are those feint scratch marks in the middle of my Ubuntu desktop's top panel? Screenclip is attached.

I believe those are just dividers for panel icons. You can use those to separate panel launchers and status applets into different sections on the panel.
