What's the best distro for Mythtv + newbie

I tried Debian but I was unable to configure my TV cards.

I have a Matrox G400Max + Rainbow Runner TV capture card and a Pixelview BT878TV.

As for the Mythtv part, I was able to install most of the plugins with apt-get but without the TV working, they are quite useless.

Thanks.

Mandrake is great for newbies and so is Libranet and Redhat. You might as well take a good look at those distros' HCL (Harware compatibility list) before trying to install any of them to avoid problems later. Some good reviews can be found here and here!

Good luck and Welcome to LinuxQuestions.org!
