wget -r *.rar
should download the files with .rar extension only. try that, although, I have never used a wildcard like that with wget.

-A acclist --accept acclist
-R rejlist --reject rejlist
Specify comma-separated lists of file name suffixes or
patterns to accept or reject (@pxref{Types of Files}
for more details).
make a list of files and specify which ones u wanna copy. Its all in the manual.
man wget
