were are sftp log located


Hello Guys

I am trying to connect to client ftp but the connection is getting out after sometime,i wanted to check logs i have following diles in cd /var/log

How exactly are you trying to connect to the system? You have sftp in your title and ftp in your post. These are different protocols. Did you install an FTP server and are trying to connect with traditional FTP clients?

If not then sftp logs would be logged similarly to an SSH session. You can check /var/log/secure /var/log/audit/ to start.
