Yes, thats right Im an egocentric brat and yes true enough no one is obligated to do anything for anyone. What I mean Drew is that too many people post when they dont need to at all.

As well I am using Mandrake(p**** distro) as well as that yes kppp is what I have been using.
I tried to cat proc/pci and then setserial but I dont know which one is my modem.

Have you tried querying for the modem to see what port it is on? Sorry for all the questions, just helps pinpoint the problem.
