I am working with virtual SuSE servers on a IBM MF. These servers are just clones of a master i created to run as virtual servers on the mainframe e series box. SuSE/Linux works fine.
I have installed webmin because many here are either not unix or linux savvy.
anyway, the install of BIND 9.0+ under webmin goes just fine.
Then the problem exists.
All i am trying to do [and this is being thwarded by our internal networking group support...they want to own it all...go figure] is make a simple DNS to respond to the
But just getting the correct selections and config is proving to be problematic.
i selected to install a new master zone where i put in all info for the config. name of svr, etc. it likes that and then said "apply changes" i get the following
'rncd : connect: connection refused'
PS: i would just like to set up the simple process of having this server, when pointed to by a client on a workstation, act as their primary DNS.
