webcam drivers


Hi can someone help me. I am looking for drivers for my Logitech quickcam pro 3000 webcam.

I can not get my webcam to work in linux.

This is the website. Look for your webcam on there then install the driver you need.

But first find the device ID type in lsusb in the triminal. Post your results here.

Hope I'm not hijacking the thread. Said web site says for my webcam - no sound on debian lenny 5

I suspect it means that the webcam does not include a microphone, so you need an external mike.

It does have a microphone it just does not work on Debian Lenny. It works on ubuntu, or something like that, but the whole thing is very slow. But it might be an idea to get a separate microphone??
