I was trying to find a way to use my web cam with opensuse 12.2. I tried Kamoso, but I couldn't figure out how to record the video. Pretty much the only technique I tried seamed the most logical, I click on the record video button and got a red circle with a bar through it. Then when I clicked on the red circle I got a destination folder name in Kaffeine, which was empty.
Oh I am using a microsoft lifecam Hd5000.

I deleted the a lot of this list as it was very long, but the device is being acknowledged.
This site says it is a supported webcam, but I am not sure if it is a reputable site or not : http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/
Hmm there's something else to; the time isn't keeping right. When I shutdown and start back up the time is a few hours off, randomly a few hours.
