Warning message during bootup
I am running Redhat 9 and Win 98SE.
To enable me to access my Windows partitions I added the following lines to fstab file:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/cdrive vfat noauto,user 0 2
/dev/hda5 /mnt/ddrive vfat noauto,user 0 2
/dev/hda6 /mnt/edrive vfat noauto,user 0 2
And once RH9 is up and running I have no problem accessing these partitions.
However, when RH 9 is booting it halts for several seconds when processing my Windows partions and displays the message:
Warning! FAT32 support is still ALPHA
What is the significance of this warning?
try getting rid of that 2 at the end and make it say 0 0 instead of 0 2
the second number is used by fsck to check the file systems...so try setting it to 0 0 and reboot and see if it helps...
Thanks Dr Oz, changing the 2's to 0's worked fine.
