Wanting to install a Linux distro on a UMPC

I currently own a Viliv x70ex UMPC. It has Windows 7 Home Prem. currently loaded on it, but I would very much like to set up a dual-boot partition for a a Linux install. My current issues stem from the fact that thus far to date, my research has essentially come up with more issues than solutions as far as this goes. Among other things, I've seen lots of references to driver issues for the touch screen, graphic issues with the Intel GMA that's installed, and so on.

If anyone out there can shed some light on this problem, or be able to direct me to a resource with a tutorial for doing this, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you can't find a good tutorial on google then you're better off jumping feet in, doing it yourself and documenting it for your own tutorial. Or not bothering and waiting until its perfected

Ehh...I in no way feel confident enough to jump in feet first. That's why I came here to see if I could find any assistance lol. I'm considering contacting the individual hardware manufacturers to see if there are any 100% Linux compatible drivers available for the component items. Hopefully that route will turn up something at least, though if it doesn't then I'm pretty much sunk for the time being and will just have to wait to see if anything pops up at a later date.
