Want to take a Backup as jar and upload jar to other server

I have a scenrio as follows:

1.I want to take a back of a repository as a jar file
and to schedule this on a daily basis.

2.The available jar file needs to be moved to a different server where we actually maintain backup files.

Please can someone provide the unix shell script to do the above stuff.

Thanks

Honest to God. This isn't a magical idea retail store.

Post your script and someone will try to help you make it work.

Thanks.

1.I am able to make a jar file of my repository.
2.Currently i am facing problem related to upload. I am using SCP command to transfer jar file but getting 'Connection Refused'. Used command is scp source/file.c remoteuser@remoteaddr:remote/dir.

Please suggest how to get connection for that port. I hope that is firewall protected.

If it is refusing connection, you can look for the firewall and tcpwrappers. Also, scp uses ssh for connection and data transfer. So you will need ssh configured and started.
