Thumbs up want to rebuild kernal of fedora to mount novell3.12 with ncpmount and ipxutils

Dear Sir
currently using rh9 as samba share server as well as novell mounting server we are lagging in bringing up the newer versions of linux because of non availablity of these two packages(ipxutils and ncpmount) from redhat.
Since i belive it can be possible because of kernal re-building concerpt ,can anyone explain me the procedure of these method in fedora core 5or6,or any redhat enterprises distribution. Is there any other way to mount novell 3.12 bindary server in linux.

First FC5 and FC6 are beyond EOL(end of life) and are no longer supported. There will be no more official updates of any kind. Please update to a supported version. Fedora 8 is current and there is about 7 months of support left on it. Fedora 9 is set for release in about two weeks. If you want longer support try Centos. Centos is RHEL(RedHat Enterprise linxu) with the logos removed. It has a five year support life and is free to download. It is binary compatible with RHEL.

There is no need to rebuild the kernel. The ipxutils and ncpfs packages should cover what you are looking for and are in the standard repo.
