Want to connect to XP network with Mepis...

OK everyone...I've been playing around with Mepis for a while now on my spare machine. :-)

Now comes the real test: trying to link it to my network. I'm running a wireless network and using a USB wireless-network adapter to join this computer to the network.

The other computer(s) on the network are XP machines.

What do I do/where do I go in Mepis to configure all this, so that the USB network adapter is basically just "plug-and-play-usable"? Also, my router restricts access using computer-names and mac filtering. How do I go about changing my computer's name in Mepis (does Mepis/Linux even support the use of computer names)?

If you need any more information, let me know. THANKS!

Either in the contol panel under networking or, in samba configuration.
