Want to change from Mandrake to Redhat
This is my first post so hope its in the right place.
I have Mandrake 9 intalled on a dual boot system with WinME as the other OS. I want to change to Redhat9 and would like to know what i need to do. Do I have to uninstall Mandrake first or can i boot from Redhat cd and delete Mandrake partition and .....er ....help please. |
The RedHat installer will allow you to format the existing linux partitions. Just make sure you don't format your WinME partition! That would be really tragic.</Sarcasm>

Thanks for the quick reply I will let you know how it goes.

Triple boot?
If you have enough space on your hard drive you could set up a triple boot Red Hat, Mandrake, WinME system.
|
Or, you could just format the whole computer. Things are less complicated that way.

I booted from the Redhat cd and followed the instructions and held my breath. It all went ok and Redhat 9 is on and working and windows is still there as well. Thanks for the help I am sure there will be more questions to follow.:newbie:
