first you are running the now "End of Life" fedora 15
the current and only supported versions of fedora are 17 and 18

please install the current version of fedora
Fedora 18

also are you behind a router ?

Hello,

Oh, i just land a book from library ,
and this book including F15 dvd disc for install,
if i reinstalled F17 or F18 , i think i can't follow this book chapter,
that's why i'm not really want to install the other version.
By the way , may i know what is the kernel version of F17 and F18?
Anyway, Thank you for the suggestion.

for most things that book would be mostly ok
15 is a bit out of date

and with fedora being a VERY fast passed " Research and Development " operating system
-- it changes VERY fast

the kernel version on fedora will change about every week (with a update)
as i said it is a
VERY fast passed " Research and Development " operating system
the current kernel in the fedora 18 64 bit updates is "kernel-3.8.5-201.fc18.x86_64.rpm"

but there is a ton of fedora documentation
starting with the official fedora docs
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/index.html
and the forum
http://www.forums.fedoraforum.org
and the bold yellow link on the top of every page on that forum
-- "fedora set-up guides" ----
http://www.fedoraforum.org/?view=fedora_setup

plus Google

sorry to necro bump but this thread is a great example of pointlessness!

someone asked a valid question & you tell them their OS is wrong, EOL whatever & what does the OP do ignore his issue & reinstall!!!
what a great way to solve an issue
NOT
