Question vsftpd question

Hi guys,

I configured vsftpd on my ubuntu server. I have a question: At work I have Bullet Proof FTP and I have the option to create many users and point them to a certain directory. Is there a way to do that with VSFTPD?
for example:

user carlos would have only access to /home/carlos/Documents/fto
user sandra would have only access to /home/sandra/Documents/ftp

thanks!

also, 1 more question:

why when I try to log in I get the following error message
Message Sent
Login using username=(username) and Password=[hidden]
server replied:

500 OOPs:child died

Do you want to retry

when I retry it works. Then if I try transferring something to my pc the same message will pop up and I have to re-enter user name and password.

thanks!

The "Setup Virtual Users and Directories in VSFTPD" tutorial on "HowTo.Gumph.Org" has the answers: see it at http://howto.gumph.org/content/setup...ies-in-vsftpd/
Hope this helps!
