Question VSFTPD login error.

Hi everybody...

I'm experiencing some litlle problems with my vsFTPd Server that I just installed....

I'm trying to disable anonymous access to my FTP site and add only some local users to access this site...

I already uncommented the local_enable=YES on my vsftpd.conf file and changed the anonymous_enable to NO... but I'm still having the same problem....

Everytime I try to login using one of my local accounts or an anonymous account I'm getting an error that says: 530 Login incorrect.

I understand that using an anonymous account is now disabled, but I don't understand why I'm getting that error with my local accounts...

I hope you can help me guys...

Thank you so much...

hi!

I tried to get my vsftpd to allow local users to log in

The lines I have uncommented in my vsftpd.conf are

background=YES
listen=YES
ftpd_banner=Welcome to Samels (The Violator of Mankind) ftp
local_enable=YES
local_umask=022
dirmessage_enable=YES
connect_from_port_20=YES
xferlog_enable=YES
xferlog_file=/var/log/vsftpd/vsftpd.log
nopriv_user=nobody

Don't forget that the ftp user is also a user and that firefox asumes that you
will log in with him

but if you want to log in with someone else type

ftp://userassword@ip-adressort

(ort is only needed if you use a port different from 21)

Didi it work?
