vsftpd deamon

Hello, i have managed to activate the vsftpd deamon (RedHat9) on my four computers. All of them can ftp to the other machines on the network. (they can ping each other...) I use anonymous... All i see in the ftp "'shared directory'" is a named "'pub'" file in all four machines...
I know it's probably not much of a big complicated problem but...
i want to put something in that "'place'"as a server...(any computer) . The directory where i put stuff to be shared is where, which one is it... I wonder if the global procedure is just something simple like copy "'this'" in "'the_ftp_directory_to_be_shared'" thank you in advance...:study:

I'm not sure that i fully understand your question, but i think the directory shared is the home directory of the user who logs in.

The pub directory for the anonymous login is in /var/ftp. well in RH atleast.

Yes, i see my question was not clear...I have realized after i wrote this question, that all i had to do was put the to_be_shared_files under a normal user (other than root). Now you tell me the anonymous default sharing file is /var/ftp... my question has been answered completely! Thank you very much...:study: :D
