It depends on the VPN server.

What are you trying to connect to?

cisco has a vpn client for linux

cisco has a linux client

I have tried version 4.0.4.B (vpnclient-linux-4.0.4.B-k9.tar.gz) with fedora core 2, kernel 2.6, and seems to work.
Previous versions seem not to work with kernel 2.6.

Regards
