voice chat

hello, my main problem is to use voice chat, i have a ymessenger, a kopete and a gaim, i have no problems to typewrite chat, but i don't see any voice function in them, i also have a skype and it work pretty well but that daesn't not help me to connect other correspondant by voice.

My other problem is also related to chat platform, they always need to have two plugins installed, i have no problem with the flashplayer but when i try to install x-java-vm the processus of installation goes well and i have a link libjavaplugin_oji.so in my /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins but when i go to mozilla it's not installed and daesn't appear in my list when i go in aboutlugins if i use midnight commander as root and read the link i have a line text pointing to the correct directory where the plugin is but when i close the text i have always the same message
attention : nm: libjavapugin_oji.so: no symbols

my linux is a mandrakelinux 10.1
there are a few month i try to install it and look into some books i have and some link on the net but it never speak of that problem, do you see any solution to my problem?

Thank you

Christian

You might wanna look into something like this for voicechat on yahoo messenger:

http://www.yazakpro.com/yazak/
or
http://mychat.fxscripts.com/features.php

As far as I know there is no voice chat function in any instant messenger on linux. Yes Skype is an option but you would have to force your buddies to use skype in order for you to voice chat... may be too much to ask.

for java plugin I would suggest you make the link in the plugins directory of your mozilla-version directory in your /usr/lib/.

for example mine is

Code:
# ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.7/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/java/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
