VNC server

Dears,
I have a VNC server which has the folowing configuraions under /etc/sysconfig/vncserver

VNCSERVERS="0:root 1:root 2:root 3:root 4:root 5:root 6:root 7:root 8:root 9:root 10:root"
VNCSERVERARGS[10]="-geometry 800x600 -nolisten tcp -nohttpd -localhost"

I want to change one of the root sessions to be assined to a regular user for example tom so the expected change will be like that

VNCSERVERS="0:root 1:tom 2:root...

then I configured a VNC passwrod for tom then restart the service I faced this error:
Starting applications specified in /root/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /root/.vnc/ivserv01:0.log

1:tom A VNC server is already running as :1
[FAILED]

what do you think the error reason ??

10 root VNC servers? Wow, that's amazingly insecure. You should be running them ALL as normal users, and using su to change to root. Better still you shouldn't be running VNC ever, as it's so insecure, and instead try a tool like nx which will create these sessions on demand and not just have them running forever like this.

as for VNC here, there's already an instance running. kill it first.
