VMware unable to detect the ethernet card running


Hi,

While installing my redhat distro in VMware 6, its giving an error message that ethernet will be disconnected.

please provide the solution.

That's because the VMWare installer will disconnect the network for a second or so.

I hope your not installing it on a server that's running something that's needed by the network. It should restart the network before anyone even notices that something is wrong, but I like treading lightly when it comes to my servers.
