VMware problem on suse 9.1 pro.

After the installation of vmware workstation rpm,
it said I need to config the vmware by using vmware-config.pl
After that I specify the folders path like gcc...etc., then the console prompt:

Extracting the sources of the vmmon module.

Building the vmmon module.

Using 2.6.x kernel build system.

What's worng? Please help.

I'm usually horrible at spotting make errors, but the last line above stated that there wasn't a .config in /usr/src/linux

I generally frown on using kernel packages from a distro, so my advice is to download a full source from one of the kernel mirrors, change the symbolic link of /usr/src/linux to the newly downloaded kernel, build a new kernel, then re-try the vmware-config.pl.
