VMplayer IP address
 

I am running debian on windows through VMplayer.........

I am bit confused regarding interface adresses......

I mean how can I know the internal and external interface addresses...

I tried out ifconfig and I also saw /etc/network.interface.......

But confused.....Actually I am building Firewall through IPTables.....so I need to know such external and internal interfaces..........

What did ifconfig show you? You can't determine the IP address from there?
Also, make sure that networking is enabled in VMware (look in the .vmx file).
