Welcome to LQ.

In order to get useful answers, please be more specific.

Which Linux distribution do you use ?

What are you trying to achieve: write yourself a virtualization software or use one ? and in the latter case, which one ? or what else ?

Welcome to LQ!

Your post is too general and not enough information. What are you attempting to do with your desktops? Which VM are you using? If you are just looking for a VM then look at the 'Virtual' section of 'Slackware-Links'. More than just SlackwareŽ links!
