virtualbox in backtrack 4


Hi ....


to day i install virtual box in backtrack 4


becous i want install windows 7 for try tools BT on Windows 7

but...

intercept this message wean i start the virtual

Does BackTrack include the VirtualBox kernel module? If it does, then you just need to load it with modprobe; though my first instinct tells me BT probably doesn't include it.

Which version of VirtualBox are you using ???
Try the latest one ....because it is running fine on my BT machine

i fix it with these steps

sudo aptitude update
wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtu...repid_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i virtualbox-2.1_2.1.4-42893_Ubuntu_intrepid_i386.deb
sudo aptitude reinstall dkms
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup

Step 3: Please post results (copy/paste terminal output from each command) on this thread
