Virtual Box

I am using Windows Vista as the host, which is running Ubuntu, as guest. How is it possible to send mail between the two virtual machines I have created, VM-1 and VM-2. I am using Virtual Box version 4.2.4 .
Thank you!

You two vm will act as two different physical machine and the mail will be sent over Internet. So just configure a mail server in those vms to send and receive mail.

A vm for the most part is like a real computer. A unique issue with many vm's is how the client (and vm software) connects to the host. Read up on bridged, nat and local to discover how one uses the normal tcp/ip rules to transact between ip addresses. Don't forget that both host and client may have default rules for firewalls to stop ports. There is not a real need to go from client to isp and back to host.
