Well it depends on the graphical interface. But if it is gnome just click on the foot then click on the Accessories and you should see terminal. Then you will want to follow the website from the previous poster. after you download the deb file you will need to enter one of the two commands.
Code:
sudo dpkg --install <what ever>.deb
or
Code:
su -
enter root password
dpkg --install <what ever>.deb
here is the website for quicker access to the download. http://www.greenhughes.com/content/h...e169g-easy-way

To open a terminal in Linpus Lite
Quote:
Click on Files > My Documents to open the File Manager. Then on the menu go to File > Terminal.
Enable Right Click menu in Linpus Lite

Install more software in Linpus Lite

The links in my sig are for the Acer Aspire One, which also runs Linpus Lite by default, so there should be a lot of useful information there for you as well..

Linpus lite is fedora based.. I don't think it uses .deb packages..

did you try this method that was linked through the pages in my sig ? I know the example is for a E220 but still....

http://johnblackmore.com/aspire-one/...huawei-modems/

The comments show a few people with the 160 that got it working with those instructions

most of the "Huawei E160 Suse" links I see in Google are in German or some other foreign language..
