Viewing vid files in Knoppix

I may be asking too much , but what I'd like, or at least like to know is , can you view WMA files in Knoppix STD.
I am able to use the MMX for some things , but haven't been able to find a way to watch WMA's...:study:
Thanks,
Eric

WMA ewwww...

I feel soiled by the very thought of such formats...

However, I have heard that MPlayer handles them fine...

Hope that helps,
DrS

No , unfortunately I haven't been able to get anything to work for this purpose. I have run across a number of WMA vid files and made nearly every attempt I can think of to view them with K STD to no avail. Would it be possible for you to run through the requirements to make the above solution behave?

The thing is.....

Well, I doubt Knoppix STD does play them, whatever that is.. (never used knoppix) .. very few players will, since WMA uses DRM (Digital Rights Management) most people dont want to use it... mplayer is popular mostly because it WILL play WMA files, and as far as I've ever heard its about your only choice for them...

Good luck,
DrS
