Viewing photos

I'm a newbie to Linux. I just bought a Dell mini with Ubuntu..I love it...using the built in Bluetooth I paired the computer with my LG8350 phone and like magic I'm able to see the folders in the phone. When I try to view the photos nothing happens however...do I need a different viewer to open the pictures?

Ubuntu uses Eye of Gnome to view images normally. If you want to edit the pictures you can use the GIMP Image Editor which should be installed by default.

If you click with your right mouse button on the image in file browser, you should see open with as an option.

Thanks for the help. I now realize what I was doing wrong...when I was looking at the folders..I was viewing them as they would appear in the phone...after I copied the images to the clipboard and pasted them in the pictures folder they opened just fine.

Thanks again,

Robert
