Video and Audio Drivers

Where can I find audio and video drivers? I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 with 512 MB for video and the built in Intel audio chipset. Thanks for your help!

It depends on the distro and version you are using. Some of the newest drivers are still being worked on. usually the drivers are in the repos if they are available.

There are both linux (open source) and ATI (proprietary) drivers available.
See here: http://gatos.sourceforge.net/
and here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...eon_linux.aspx

Most Intel audio chipsets work "out of the box" with linux, but you may need to open your Mixer and unmute something, or just turn the volume up on a particular channel.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it is Fedora 10. One of the volume levels was turned down like you mentioned. It wasn't the master one that appeared on the bottom right task bar so that is why I was confused. Thanks for your help! I am downloading the ATI video card as we speak and hopefully it will work and hopefully I can figure out how to install it. Thanks again!

Every time I try to install it, it fails out on me. After I choose option 1 or 2 for the Driver 8.612 or Generate Distribution Specific, it fails. It says: "loki_setup: directory: (null)" and then it removes the temp directory fglrx-install.XiikFW. Any ideas? This is for the ATI propiatary drivers. Thanks!

What you want to do is not that simple. probably involes compiling and adding modules to the kernel.

I was thinking along the lines of
sudo yum search xserver-xorg-video-ati
or
sudo yum search xserver-xorg-video

The when you find the right driver
sudo yum install xserver..........
