var/spool/mail is full - how do I clear it?

My /var/spool/mail file is overloading my var partition. My mqueue and clientmqueue files are manageable but how do I clear the mail file?

use mail/mutt/pine/... to read and/or delete the mails ... or just
kill the file if you're not interested in its content. Though
I'd go and check the content to see how/why it's filling up.

Cheers,
Tink

Depending on your partitioning scheme, but something like
this
du -sm /*|sort -n
cd into dir at bottom
repeat

Thanks Tinkster! Gives me a more complete image of my disk, sure beats the "estimate" of the file browser.
This one's for the cork wall (ya know, that board you pin things on to) to be used regularly!

Tnx!
