/var/log/messages

Hi everyone! As a newbie like many, I'd be much grateful if you suggest a solution to my problem,
The problem is:
When I tried to practice using the command tail etc...

#tail -f /var/log/messages

I have noticed an endless running of the following strokes with a repeat:

Aug 19 15:52:07 SEVENISLANDS kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00d <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 19 15:52:07 SEVENISLANDS kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x8d on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 19 15:52:07 SEVENISLANDS kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00d <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 19 15:52:08 SEVENISLANDS kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x8d on isa0060/serio0).
Aug 19 15:52:08 SEVENISLANDS kernel: atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00d <keycode>' to make it known.
Aug 19 15:52:08 SEVENISLANDS kernel: atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x8d on isa0060/serio0).

Can anyone tell me what kind of an error is that ?

I run an opensuse 11.0 on an i686 arch machine. I don't have any other kinds of problems on it.

Thank you very much!

Have a look here:
- atkbd.c spamming the logs. How to get rid? what is this?

Seems to be a known known bug and has a workaround.

Thumbs up Another problem,

Thanks very much Druuna!
It appears just as the link you provided! thanks a lot. after doing those steps, the error messages disappeared. It is nice to know about the dependency on accumulated charge of the start button.

I hope you'd have an answer to another of my problems: on my laptop I have two network interfaces eth0 and wlan0. when I use my internet browser (firefox), and simultaneously monitor the /var/log/messages file I get the following error messages:

SEVENISLANDS:/home/nid # tail -f /var/log/messageshttps://lqo-thequestionsnetw.netdna-ssl.com/questions/images/icons_lq/icon9.gif
Aug 20 16:48:25 SEVENISLANDS kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
Aug 20 16:48:25 SEVENISLANDS kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
Aug 20 16:48:25 SEVENISLANDS kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
Aug 20 16:48:42 SEVENISLANDS kernel: __ratelimit: 4 callbacks suppressed
Aug 20 16:48:42 SEVENISLANDS kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
Aug 20 16:48:42 SEVENISLANDS kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
Aug 20 16:48:42 SEVENISLANDS kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error

In spite I turned one of these interfaces off and used one solely. well after seeing these messages I decided to turn off eth0 using ifdown eth0 and used wifi instead. But I'm still receiving the same messages.

Any idea?

Thanks again!!!!!!
