ValidatePassword for secure pdf file

Hi,

I am facing problem while validating password for a secured pdf file.
I am parsing encrypt object in a pdf file to get the O and U entry and then make use of Algorithm for validating.
This is success for some pdf file but the same fails for some pdf files where OEntry contains special character like '{'.
I dont know how to parse this OEntry.
Does this character considered as some character with special meaning?

Please could i get any answer or link for the mentioned problem.

Thanks in advance

What language are programming in? That will be a big part of the answer. Can you post the code you have so far?

The friendly thing would be to say WHY you can't post the code.....

More generally, I think you will need to provide more information before anyone can help you. First, I do not know what it means to validate the password for a file. Applications that have this feature would have the password validaion built in--would they not?

Also, I'm sure I am not the only one who has NO CLUE about "O and U entry".

Unhappy

Let me tell briefly the problem i am facing.
the main aim of my application is to verify whether the user entered password to open a encrypted pdf file(secure pdf file) is valid or not?

For that i have to parse the pdf to read UEntry and OEntry.
These OEntry and UEntry contains the password in encrypted format.
I made used of Adobe algorithms to do the job.
But i am not able to do the task for all pdf file.
