Exclamation Vacation on Postfix = auto-reply from From: instead of CC:

Greetings...

i'm running postfix on ubuntu server 7.10 and have vacation setup to work off of useradmin module. the auto-reply "works", in that an auto-reply is sent out, except that... if a someone sends an email to a non-vacationing user and happens to "CC:" the actual vacationing user, the auto-reply is sent out incorrectly using the address in the "From:" field and not correctly using the "CC'd:" actual vacationing user address.

i have tried reinstalling modules and played with settings to no avail.

ANY advise would be greatly appreciated!

There are plenty of broken auto-responders. Check the Ubuntu bugs server or mailing list to see if this issue is known or resolved since your release.

thanks for the suggestion... i have checked bug reports on the many broken auto-responders. this particular issue hasn't been seen it seems till now. and as for reporting this "bug" to ubuntu... http://glyphobet.net/blog/essay/140

i just hoped somehow someone somewhere would stumble upon this question someday who may have gone through it before or have a better idea about it, and suggest a possible solution that i've obviously missed.
