/usr/bin/stat not present. Can I just copy the file

Hi,

I noticed that /usr/bin/stat is not present in the system. Is it possible to just copy the binary from other machine which running the same version of RedHat?

Thanks.

Check library dependencies first, ie do

ldd -v /usr/bin/stat

on the other machine and see if you have those libraries.

No I don't have the library /lib/lib.so.6. So do I have to install the complete binary package?
