Question "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXaw" ------- What is this for?

Hello everybody,

When I typed "make linux-i386" to install a software, after
several seconds it stoped with this error:
--------------------------------------------------
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXaw
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
--------------------------------------------------

Do I need to install a specific library or something?

I would be grateful if any one could help me.

With best regards,
Hassan

You need the libXaw-devel package for your distro

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't notice that.
But there is a hint in the topic I recommended.
You should install dev version of libxaw packge.

For ubuntu try to install : libxaw7-dev
